THE MOST IMPORTANT POINTS TO MAKE DURING PRAYER - Part 1

My dear brothers and sisters,

Today, I was reviewing the prayer group postings and ran across Sister Sara'i Hezekyah's prayer on Nov. 4th at 6:33 PM.

I was shocked when I read the first paragraph of her prayer, which stated:

"O Creator of our ancestors! Let the prayers we utter before You be not in vain. 

Do not hide Yourself from our please. 

Hear us as we bow low before Your presence, lower than the worker ants. 

We all have sinned, and fell short. For this we humbly bow with humility before You pleading for mercy, O Abba, to forgive all our sins, and pardon all our iniquities."

The reason I was so shocked after reading her prayer is because the Creator YAHWEH told us how to get Him to turn back to us and remember the holy covenant He made with us via our ancestors.

You can find this in Leviticus 26:38-46. In these verses holy YAHWEH gave us the most important points to make when we pray to Him as follows:


³⁸And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

³⁹And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

⁴⁰If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

⁴¹And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:

⁴²Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

⁴³The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.

⁴⁴And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.

⁴⁵But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.

⁴⁶These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

The conditions he gave us, when we pray to Him, to confess our sins, the sins of our father's and to humble our uncircumsied hearts before Him to get Him to return to our people were stated in Sister Sara'i Hezekyah's prayer!

This blew me way!

This sister is truly a prayer warrior for our nation!

So, let it be known to all Israel, that the most important statement we are to make when we make prayer to holy YAHWEH, to get Him to forgive our nation of all our sins and remember the covenant he made with our people, for our deliverance, are:

1.) confess their iniquity


2.) and the iniquity of their fathers


3.) and their trespass which they trespassed against me


4.) and that also they have walked contrary unto me

5.) and that I also have walked contrary unto them


6.) and have brought them into the land of their enemies


7.) humble our uncircumcised hearts be humbled


8.) and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity

The following is the full prayer of Sara'i Hezekyah. When you read it, you will see that her prayer covered all the main points holy YAHWEH told us to make in our prayers for Him to turn back to us and remember the sacred covenant He make with our forefathers.

Sara'i Hezekyah

O Creator of our ancestors! Let the prayers we utter before You be not in vain. Do not hide Yourself from our pleas. Hear us as we bow low before Your presence, lower than the worker ants. For the sin which we have committed in Your sight through arrogance of our will,
And for the sin which we have committed before You by breach of trust.
For the sin which we have committed in Your sight by casting off responsibility,
And for the sin which we have committed before You by denying and lying.
For the sin which we have committed in Your sight by evil thoughts,

For all of these, O El of forgiveness,forgive us, pardon us, grant atonement
For the sin which we have committed in Your sight, either knowingly or unknowingly.
And for the sin which we have committed before You through lustful desires.
And for the sin which we have committed before You by not lifting up Your Name.
And for the sin which we have committed before You by passing judgment.
And for the sin which we have committed before You by resisting those in authority.

For all of these, O El of forgiveness,
forgive us, pardon us, grant us atonement.
For the sin which we have committed in Your sight by scoffing,
And for the sin which we have committed before You through talking idly.
And for the sin which we have committed before You through excess in eating and drinking.

For the sin which we have committed in Your sight by yet being proud,
And for the sin which we have committed before You through our lack of zeal.

For all of these, O El of forgiveness,
forgive us, pardon us, grant us atonement.
Avinu Malkeinu (our Abba, our King), we have sinned before You!
Avinu Malkeinu, in Your abundant mercy, cleanse us of our guilt before You.
Avinu Malkeinu, bring us back to You in perfect repentance.
Our Abba, our King, be gracious unto us and answer us although we have no merits of our own. Deal with us in righteousness and loving kindness, and save us.

I came across this writings when I was on my journey and found that it is words that is said during Yom Kippur.

¹Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

²Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

³If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

⁴Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
